Walking through Hoxton last night and came across 'Troy Bar'. I actually haven't been in here in year's but I remember coming to watch a friends band play at open mic night so I thought i'd go in and see what was going on...
An amazing Spanish band ( El Tribu) was playing the blues! It was only a rehearsal but the music was just as beautiful. I met these two musicians too and we got to talking; the guy in picture seven is Patrick Lyons a music producer who's been in music since his 16th birthday! ( Got his business card if anyone would like to get in touch with him)
Picture six is of his close friend Yemi who played drums for the greatest afro beat musician that ever lived Fela Anikulapo Kuti, also known as Fela Ransome- Kuti for 9 years! Blog about Fela Anikulapo Kuti coming soon!
